The weekend just passed has truly been a bliss. Especially, the day of this shoot. My sister, Aliescha, decided to take me out to 'spoil' - since this month was my birth month. We decided to go to Montville - one of the most touristy hinterland village spot around Brisbane and the coast.
Montville is well-known for its small village charm, its many different architectural styles representing Tudor, Irish, English, Bavarian, and Swiss (I found the iconic London red phone booth here - which I was really eager to take a shot with!). Although, on our way to up the mountain, the weather was not on our side - rain started to pour down like there was no tomorrow! My heart sunk, as I thought it was the worst timing ever..I guess we're have to make the most of it (I started to imagine some 'rainy' shots for my blog may not seem like a bad idea...). BUT, upon arriving at our destination, the rain stopped completely! What good luck we have?!! We were in God's good graces after all:D We had lunch at one of the local cafes - we brought our pup (Venti) with us, so we sat outside - which after the rain, it got quite chilly. I make an effort to take my dog out anywhere that's allowed and are dog friendly. Seriously, I get so jealous in the U.S or Europe, because people get to take their dogs everywhere! Shopping Centre, restaurants (inside), trains, buses..etc you name it! Australia needs to hurry up and get with the program! After lunch, we walked around the village. It was a great scenery - the view from the top of the mountain was breath taking. I chose to wear something more on the casual side. I love these sandal heels I got a while ago from Nine West. Some people hate this kind of style heels because they say it cuts off their legs and makes their ankles look fat. Some even say they hate wearing jeans with this kind of heel. I disagree. I believe this style of heels is sexy and feminine. I even wore jeans with it to prove that this kind of style heels can definitely work with any pair of jeans. And they are most certainly comfortable. Both jeans and heel. I got this Chloé handbag during my Europe trip, and ever since then I cant stop carrying it! (everybody loves their shiny new toy!) I've been looking at this bag the whole first half of 2014 and finally made my decision to purchase one in Milan - which, to me, was decision well made:) What I wore: Shirt -- LA Boutique Jeans -- MNG/Mango Bag -- Chloé Shoes -- Nine West

Its been a while since my last post! I actually did this shoot during my trip last month in Barcelona, Spain but I got busy traveling around Europe and wanted take a break. So I decided that Spain would be my last shoot in Europe and I would post this when I got back to Brisbane. I had the most wonderful time in Europe and I wished it'd never ended. But I am glad to be back home now and resume my normal routine;)
After Spain, we took a sleeper train to Paris, then London, Amsterdam and Berlin. I loved Paris! It is as beautiful and romantic a city as they all say. I remembered the feeling I had when I saw the city of Paris for the first time, it was on of the best travel feelings I could have. All I wanted to do was keep exploring this amazing city. Barcelona, was also a very beautiful city. I started noticing the change of weather here - it got a lot cooler than in Italy and Monaco which was nice for a change. The people were really friendly and helpful, it certainly has a different feeling to any other cities in Europe. The gothic inspired church La Sagrada Família is a must see, the food market was a fun place to walk around and check out some of their amazing products, and the shopping was great! We did spend a lot of time shopping and walking around central Barcelona - taking in all the beautiful sights this city has to offer. What I wore; Shirt (singlet) -- Mossman Pants -- Foreign Exchange Bag -- Italian Boutique Shoes -- Rubi Shoes |
